We have developed "The Kickstart Risk Management Program" which will enable your Executive Leadership to identify strategic risks and find ways to mitigate roadblocks to the success of your organisation. 

We will guide you to determine your attitude to and tolerance of risk. To help you articulate how risks (large or small) are treated with respect to culture, financial strength, resources and skills within your organisation. 

Australian Standards (AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018) recommend that organisations should have a framework that integrates the process for managing risk into the organisation's overall governance, strategy and planning, management, reporting processes, policies, values and culture.

  1. Preliminary Understanding

To achieve the most from the program, it is important that our not-for-profit CFO expert has an understanding of your organisation’s vision, mission, values and goals. They will meet with the executive team to make sure that the objectives of the program are aligned with those of the organisation. This will allow them to tailor the program to meet your organisation’s desired outcomes.

  1. Risk Management Gap Analysis

The most effective way for an organisation to develop the adoption of AS/NZS ISO 31000 and thereby maximise the effectiveness of its risk management activities, is to conduct a gap analysis of the organisation’s risk management process to review and evaluate how well its risk management arrangements conform to AS/NZS ISO 31000. The gap analysis and actions arising from this will form the basis of the organisation’s risk management plan for how it will improve its risk management framework. Giuntabell will undertake a risk management GAP analysis.

  1. Kickstart Risk Management Program

A workshop will be held with the directors and executive team to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Provide the Board with an understanding of what is a risk.
  • Provide the Board with an understanding of effective risk management.
  • Receive direct input from directors to help establish the risk profile of the organisation.
  • Receive direct input from the directors to help identify strategic risks.
  • Prepare a report for consideration by the Board. The report will cover the following:
    • A risk consequence rating (risk profile) to be considered by the Board for adoption.
    • A summary of strategic risks identified by the directors.

A proposed strategy for continuous development in risk management and financial reporting.
